Marriages
1890-1970, Hooker Co, NE - Book 1, $7; Book 2, $10 Book 1 was prepared by the Hooker County Genealogical Society in
1988. Marriage licenses numbered 1-333 issued from December 1889 to August
1923 were transcribed as they appeared in the County records. Information
includes marriage date, names, ages, birthplaces, residence, names of
parents, officiant, and witnesses. Book 2 contains marriage licenses numbered 334-818 issued from
October 1923 to December 1970. Starting in 1968 additional information
includes whether living outside or inside city limits, education,
occupation, marital status and number of marriages, birthplace of parents.

History of Hooker County 1889-2004
is available from Hooker Co. Historical
Society, $60 + $5 S&H if mailed The Hooker County Historical Society
compiled this book to preserve the history of Hooker
County, South Cherry County and the surrounding area.
There are pictures and stories describing the Sandhills
communication and transportation, towns Hecla and Mullen,
businesses, schools, churches, organizations, health and
community services, recreation, armed forces, weather and
natural disasters, cemeteries, and items of notoriety.
Biographical sketches of families who have resided in
Hooker County are in alphabetical order by surname, many
including photographs. Poetry and artwork by local
residents enhance the section title pages. Surname
indexes are included.
